Greater Chamber to host Immediate Past Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Dr. Tom Mackell
 
manassas, vaThe Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce has invited Dr. Tom Mackell, Jr. Immediate Past Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond to speak at a dinner to be held on Tuesday, May 18th at Heritage Hunt Golf & Country Club from 4:30-8:00 p.m. The event is a part of the Greater Chamber’s Insight Series, sponsored by PNC Bank. The Media Sponsor is the News & Messenger.
 
Our guest speaker will address the topic “When Did America Lose Its Political Backbone?” There will also be time for attendees to ask questions of the presenter. Dr. Mackell is currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Benefits and Pension Services, Inc., a Partner of Rx Well Card and is President of the Association of Benefit Administrators and Editor of its Newsletter, Insights. He has had a life-long career in the management, administration and investment management of employee benefit funds. Dr. Mackell spent 14 years with the Marine Engineers Beneficial Association as Administrator of their jointly-administered trust funds and has worked for over 28 years in the investment management and financial services industry working with Taft-Hartley, public, corporate pension funds and endowments and foundations on asset allocation and corporate governance issues. Dr. Mackell is the author of the book: "When the Good Pensions Go Away, Why America Needs a New Deal for Pension and Health Care Reform." He is a frequent guest and commentator on national radio and TV shows.
 
Members of the general public are invited to the dinner which will begin with a Wine & Beer Reception from 4:30-5:30, followed by a plated dinner, presentation and Q & A from 5:30-7:30 and a dessert reception from 7:30-8:00. The cost for members of the PWC-GMCC to attend is $60 per person or $435 for a table of eight. Non-Members pay $85.
