Greater Chamber’s Virtual Bus Tour
Changes Tune and Meets with Success

Manassas, VA—The Prince William County—Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce held our 2010 Virtual Bus Tour- “Changing Our Tune” in the Verizon Auditorium on George Mason University’s Prince William Campus, 10900 University Boulevard, Manassas on Thursday, June 3rd from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m.

Sponsored for the first time by Falcon Communications Solutions, Inc., the Virtual Bus Tour provided attendees with an exclusive preview of commercial real estate in five different neighborhoods in the greater Manassas and Prince William County areas via up-to-date aerial and land photos in an informative PowerPoint presentation. Said Creston Owen, President and CEO of Falcon Communication Solutions, Inc.,“This sponsorship is one of the best investments I have made this year. We look forward to the opportunity to work with the Chamber on this event in 2011.”

The tour was conducted by Steve Daves of R. W. Murray Co. and Creston Owen, Falcon Communication Solutions, Inc. Both wore tuxedos in a nod to the event’s theme, which signified changing perceptions of the Prince William County- Greater Manassas area and changes in the local real estate market. The new venue’s close proximity to the newly opened Hylton Performing Arts Center was also a factor as those in attendance were invited to enjoy a tour of that facility following the program.  The presenters, backed by a committee of in-the-know real estate, construction and investment professionals shared the inside scoop on new and current projects in the pipeline as well as companies planning to relocate to our area.

The event’s Platinum Plus Sponsor was the City of Manassas. The Platinum Sponsors were: The City of Manassas Park; First Potomac Realty Trust and Vanderpool, Frostick & Nishanian, P.C. Gold Sponsors included: Fulton Bank and Prince William Health System.

Silver Sponsors were: Broad Street Realty; R. E. Daffan, Inc.; PWC/ Manassas Convention and Visitors Bureau; R.W. Murray Co., The Peterson Companies, Grubb & Ellis Company and the Prince William County Department of Economic Development.

Prior to the breakfast provided by Kitchen Gourmet & A Company of Caterers, attendees had the opportunity to network and visit sponsor exhibit tables as well as additional exhibitors including: Norman Realty, Inc. and ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC.

This event would not have been possible without the generous donations from In-Kind Sponsors like Dewberry; GRC Direct and RWS Aerial Photography who donates all of the aerial photos for this event each year.

Copies of the Virtual Bus Tour Guidebook are still available for purchase for those who did not attend the event. The full-color book features information on 118 commercial properties and projects stretching from Dumfries to Haymarket and including properties in both the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.
