Greater Chamber Provides Luncheon & Seminar for Area Businesses looking to improve customer service

manassas, va— The Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce has invited Bobbie Walker, Partnership Marketing Education Director for the Virginia Tourism Corporation to speak on the profound ways that all businesses can consistently exceed customer expectations at our Insight Series Luncheon on Wednesday, June 16^th. Her talk, “Great Customer Service Comes From the Heart,” will focus on attitude, consistency, service and teamwork.

Members of the general public are invited to the luncheon which will be held on at Best Western Battlefield Inn, 10820 Balls Ford Rd., Manassas and will include two identical sessions with lunch served between the two. The morning session will run from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m and will feature a “Best Practices” discussion with a panel of local customer service experts. Facilitating the lunchtime discussion will be Chamber President Debbie Jones. Panelists to date include Victoria Wu, Cakes by Happy Eatery; Steve Johnson, Uno’s Chicago Grill; and Jamie Gorman, Sigma College of Small Business, Inc. The afternoon session will immediately follow lunch and will run from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Program Objectives will include:

Identifying why customer service is beneficial to both your business and your community
Identifying and practicing positive behaviors that enhance customer service skills
Learning to treat your co-workers as your INTERNAL customers
Giving front-line employees the confidence and support they need to shine as hosts
Leading by example

This event is a part of the Greater Chamber’s Insight Series, which seeks to shed light on current events and other areas of particular interest to members of the community.
