Greater Chamber's New Member Showcase Sees Strongest Showing Yet

MANASSAS, VA—The Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce hosted our New Member Showcase on Friday, June 4th at the Prince William Hospital. The quarterly event, sponsored by Network Solutions, is an opportunity for any business or organizations which has joined the Chamber within the last six months to set up an exhibit table free of charge and tell others a little bit about what makes their business or organization unique.

Over the last two years, the event has become increasingly popular as a way for both current members and Chamber leadership to get a true taste of the varied businesses coming into the membership. It is also a comfortable way for new members to ease into the act of networking by having others visit their table and ask questions. The June event saw a record 40 exhibitors participating as a way to kick off their membership with the Greater Chamber.

Said new member and exhibitor Thomas Bigoski of the Bigoski Insurance Agency in Gainesville, “This event was great. I mean, what a value- add! You join the Chamber to grow your business and right off the bat they give you this opportunity that I would value at about $200; that’s on top of everything else that’s available to members. That’s huge! In addition to the other 39 exhibitors, there were about 50-60 more people that came through the door and visited my table. I took this event as my chance to shine because it’s unique among so many of the other networking events that I attend. People are not there to socialize as much as they are there to really meet you and find out about your business. I would definitely recommend that anyone coming into the Chamber participate in the New Member Showcase.”

The next opportunity for new members to exhibit will be in September, although the date is yet to be determined. Anyone interested in becoming a member of the Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce should go online to www.joinourchamber.com.
