Basement to Attic Tours of Liberia Plantation
Set for March 13
Upcoming Manassas Museum Basement to Attic Tours of Liberia Plantation will offer visitors a rare glimpse into the historic 1825 house where both Confederate and Union forces set up headquarters during the Civil War. Visitors on the tours, scheduled for 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on March 13, will also learn about recent restoration efforts on the property.
Tickets are $15 each, $10 for those under 16, and should be purchased in advance. Directions to Liberia will be provided and the tours will be conducted rain or shine. Please dress accordingly.
Visitors can also hear about Civil War graffiti discovered during recent restoration efforts. Those on tour can imagine Liberia in all its splendor when hoop skirts rustled and dashing officers roamed its halls.

The Manassas Epsilon Xi of Beta Sigma Phi International will be hosting their 2nd Annual St. Patrick's Day Dinner Dance. This event will honor the life of Mr. Denny McLaughin, who succumbed to pancreatic cancer in 2008, and also serve to benefit Capital Hospice. The doors for this Dinner/Dance will open March 13th at 6:30 PM, with dinner being provided by Jackie Holohan, Caterer, and served from 7 PM until 8 PM and dancing from 8 PM until 11 PM. Live entertainment will be provided by "MoJo", a classic rock band! Tickets are $50 per person or $90 a couple. Dress is casual and remember to wear your GREEN!

Toddler Tuesdays, The Manassas Museum’s popular program for children ages two through five. The Tuesday, March 16 program theme is “Under the Sea.”
The programs offer toddlers and their caregivers an opportunity to enjoy songs, story-telling and crafts, and include a special take-home surprise. Toddler Tuesdays are held at the Museum from 10:00-11:00 AM and the cost is $10 per child, per session.
Funding for the series has been generously provided by NOVEC.

Speaker: WBIS' very own member, Erika Larkin, PGA
Born and raised in Queens, New York, Erika has pursued her passion for golf since the age of 8. As a junior, she competed on local and national levels, and was granted a scholarship to play Division I golf at James Madison University ('02). She has been working in the golf industry since and teaching since 2003. In 2006, she became a Class A PGA Member. In 2007 she became one of only 14 female PGA Members Certified in Instruction. Shortly thereafter, she established Larkin Golf LLC and launched www.larkingolf.com to highlight her simple and fun teaching philosophies. Erika has been published regionally and in a number of online publications and she has taught and presented alongside many Top 100 teaches.
She is the new Director of Instruction at Stonewall Golf Club in Gainesville, VA, where she is starting her own Learning Community offering adult and junior classes and camps, private instruction, fitness evaluations and unique practice and on-course opportunities for her students. She resides in Gainesville, VA with husband Mike and her newest little golfer, 2-year old son Mikey.
