Jack Chesney loves Kitty Verdun and Charles loves Miss Spettigue. They invite the ladies to meet Charley's wealthy aunt from Brazil. But alas, the millionaire aunt sends word that she will have to defer her visit for a few days. What is to be done? The problem is solved by forcing another Oxford undergraduate into a black satin skirt, a lace fichu, a pair of mitts, and an old fashioned cap and wig. As Charley's Aunt, this old frump is introduced to the sweethearts. When the real aunt turns up, the comic confusion which results, has made this play a favorite of audiences for many years.

Presenting Your Work and Making Transfers Elizabeth Opalenik and Jill Enfield
Today we live in an evolving mode of media overload and of viewing work.  Sharing images digitally online is easy and convenient but it lacks a certain experience that holding an image or book of images in your hand possesses.  In this session we will learn about presenting your work to share in a more intimate way...from small handmade books to online book publishing options to hand embossing small editioned sets of images to establishing a viewing wall of photographs. By creating a hands on experience with the viewer and ourselves, we create a dialogue for enhancing the thought process around making art. No power failures, no delete button, just the possibility of living with your creations in a more intimate way. Also, enhance your images by transferring them with Lazertran, or Dass film. Images can be transferred onto almost any substrate. Jill and Elizabeth will teach all the tricks to making a successful transfer.

This Photoshop exploratorium session will expand creative capabilities allowing the photographer to tap into other artistic modes while enhancing a series of images through layering, masking, and Kaleidoscope (with Corel’s Painter) to create an image that is greater than the sum of it parts.  Third-party software’s (such as Niks, Akvis and Auto FX) will also be demo-ed. Students should bring digital photos and/or scans, plus download demo versions of Corel Painter, Akvis Sketch, and Auto FX PGE7, all of which are available on-line. It will be helpful to have some Photoshop experience beforehand, but participants do not need to be familiar with masks and blending modes prior to attending. Register Here.

Instructor Bios
Theresa Airey
International photographer, Theresa Airey, author of Creative Photo Printmaking, Creative Digital Printmaking, Digital Photo Art, and Beginners Guide to Digital Art, holds an MFA in Photography and Fine Art. Her work has been published in many photographic magazines, and is in many permanent collections, such as Polaroid, Fuji and Canon. She is an active speaker for the Photo Plus East and West, the Professional Photographers Association and for the Photo ProExpo. Theresa has had major exhibits in the U.S., Europe, and Central America and teaches numerous workshops in the U.S. and abroad. She is one of twenty photographers featured in a book entitled, Polaroid Transfers and is one of four international photographers featured in the prestigious book entitled, The Yearbook 1999, published in England.

Susan Ruddick Bloom
Susan Ruddick Bloom is known for her fine art photography. She uses alternative photographic processes and digital manipulation. Sue has been involved in making art on the computer for over twenty-five years. She holds an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She is Professor and Chair of the Department of Art and Art History at McDaniel College, in Westminster, Maryland. In addition to her college teaching, Sue conducts many workshops, including the Maine Photographic Workshop, Palm Beach Photographic Centre, Santa Fe Photo Workshop, Common Ground, and Common Ground - Scotland. She also leads photo tours throughout the world. Sue's book, Digital Collage and Painting, by Focal Press, was released June 1, 2006. A second edition is due out in Fall 2010. Sue's book Digital Painting in Photoshop was released in February 2009. It can be found at your local bookstore or Amazon.com. Sue also writes for Australia's quarterly Better Photoshop Techniques and some US magazines like Shutterbug.

Jill Enfield
Jill Enfield, one of this country's most experienced and respected handcoloring artists; is a fine art, editorial and commercial photographer.  She has taught handcoloring and non-silver techniques at Parsons School of Design, The New School, Fashion Institute of Technology, New York University, Long Island University and the International Center of Photography in New York, as well as in workshops throughout the USA and Europe.  Her work is in the collections of RJ Reynolds Co., Southeast Banking Corp., Museo de Arte Moderno de Mediellin in Colombia, The Boca Raton Museum of Art and Hotel Parisi in LaJolla.
Jill's book on non-silver techniques titled: Photo Imaging: A Complete Guide to Alternative Processes published by Watson-Guptill in November 2002, won the Golden Light Award for Best Technical Book of 2002 through the Maine Photographic Workshop and is already in its second printing. Nikon has honored Jill by featuring her on their web-site as a "Legend Behind The Lens" photographer as well as in their Full-Line product guide and an upcoming issue of Nikon World.  Jill has also appeared on The Today Show Weekend Edition, New York One and The CBS Saturday Morning Edition as a spokesperson for www.takegreatpictures.com on several occasions.

Elizabeth Opalenik
As a photographic artist, Elizabeth Opalenik believes that all good photographs are self portraits that lie somewhere between imagination and dreams.  Her 30 year career has found her making images on five continents, seeking the beauty and grace that exists within all things.  Elizabeth conducts photographic workshops internationally, creating a sense of wonder and possibility in her students.
Elizabeth is committed to her black and white darkroom, but combines digital usage when appropriate.  Her preference is working with infrared films, hand applied paints and furthering her work in the French process Mordançage where she has added her signature style by creating veils of floating silver emulsion.
Elizabeth’s work is collected, published and exhibited internationally, residing in such collections as la Bibliotheque nationale de France and The Portland Museum of Art, among others.  Most recently she has been featured in Zoom, Black and White Magazine, Color Magazine, Silvershotz and Camera Arts among others. Following a life-long dream, she recently published her first monograph, Poetic Grace-Elizabeth Opalenik Photographs 1979-2007.
