PWC-GM Chamber Installs Its New Board of Directors

Manassas, VA Past Chamber Chair Senator Charles J. Colgan installed the 2009-2010 Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the Prince William County–Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce at its 74th Annual Dinner Dance which was held Saturday, June 27th at City Palace, Inc. in Manassas, Virginia.

The theme of this year’s event was “A Night at the Opera.” The audience was entertained by selections from the popular musical, “The Phantom of the Opera” by Andrew Lloyd Webber performed by Jean Kellogg, Executive Director of the Hylton Performing Arts Center under construction at the Prince William Campus of George Mason University and Richard Novak, Co-Artistic Director of Opera Workshop and Assistant Professor of Voice at George Mason University.
 
Kathy Ellington, Executive Director for Leadership Prince William commented, “What a great party you threw! Kudos for the staff—you all worked so hard and it really showed!”

In her acceptance speech, incoming Chairman Molly Grove promised a fun year topped off with a “Chamber’s Got Talent” amateur talent show. She promised to convene a bi-annual meeting of an advisory board comprised of Past Chamber Chairmen. She also vowed to continue the astronomical growth that the Chamber experienced in the past year while still maintaining the retention rate. Lastly, she promised to offer some seminars about the value of bartering services for business.
